Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Sunday, January 22, 2012 - Anton (“Sonny”) Felix Kowalewski passed away Jan. 16, in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 68. He was born to Felix and Laura (Eiler) Kowalewski Nov. 22, 1943, in Flint, Mich. Sonny worked as a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 10 years in Riverside, Calif. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army from Sept. 20, 1967, and Honorably discharged Aug. 31, 1970. He moved to Lake Havasu City from Riverside, Calif., 12 years ago. He loved building custom classic cars and was a member of the Old Farts Car Club. Sonny is survived by his loving family, son, Randall Kowalewski, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; mother, Laura Kowalewski, of Riverside, Calif.; brother, John Kowalewski, of Riverside, Calif.; sister, Nadja Richards, of Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren; and many nephews. A memorial service will be Feb. 6, at noon at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92504. Services will be immediately following at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA, 92518. No donations are necessary.
