Frederick E. Goodseal Sr. passed away Jan. 22, 2012 in Surprise, Ariz., while celebrating his 75th birthday with his beloved Lee and her family.

He was born Jan. 15, 1937, in Coffeyville, Kan., to Curtis and Arlene Goodseal.

Fred served his country in the U.S. Army then lived in Colorado and Los Angeles before moving to Lake Havasu City with the McCulloch Plant. When the plant closed he re-trained as a chef and has cooked in many of the fine restaurants in Havasu.

He loved sports and was always a dedicated league bowler at Havasu Lanes. The Lakers had his heart, as did Brady and the Super Bowl Patriots.

His God-given talent was his fabulous voice and karaoke was his passion. Known around town as “Huggie Bear” he won many contests and entertained his fans.

He leaves behind his partner of 12 years, Lee; her daughter, Michelle; sister, Gloria; and a special grandson, Nicky Black, who was his side kick at many bowling and karaoke events in town.

A Celebration of Life will take place on the evening of Feb. 9 at the Elks Lodge. Family and friends are invited to share a song or just give family support.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice for World Hunger is appreciated.

Arrangements are under way at the Palm Funeral Home in Sun City, Ariz.

We thank God for beautiful music and feel confident Fred is now part of that praising in song.
