HALL, Merrill P.
Merrill P. Hall, 95, of Mesa, AZ passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2004. Merrill was born on October 23, 1908 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Henry and Elizabeth "Libbie" Hall. Merrill graduated from Mesa High School, worked in construction for many years, even helping to build the homes of some family members and later retired with the U.S. Postal Service. Merrill proudly served as Ward Clerk for many years, supporting the efforts of five different bishops. He also dedicated much of his time to the Boy Scouts. Merrill was a man full of energy, and was happiest when he was using his hands to help others. He adored his family and showed it by being a wonderful husband, father and grandpa.

Merrill is preceded in death by his son, David Hall; grandson, Vaughn Hall; 2 brothers, Jerold and Kenneth Hall; as well as his sister, Elizabeth Gillilan. He is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Mary Hall; two sons, George (Ana) Hall, Michael (Vicki) Hall; daughter, Sandra (Dick) Lee; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Hall. Merrill is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services held at the LDS Miller Ward, 933 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa, AZ. Following the service, Merrill will be placed to rest at the City of Mesa Cemetery. Meldrum Mortuary handled the arrangements. www.meldrummortuary.com East Valley Tribune 09/24/2004
