Pamela K. (Pam) Balassa

Pamela K. Balassa of Prescott, Ariz., passed away suddenly on Jan. 25, 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Chuck; her son, Charles Michael; her daughter-in-law, Renee; and two cherished granddaughters, Shelby and Gaby. Her sisters-in-law, Joanne Cavett and Carol Reynolds, also survive her. She had many friends in Phoenix, Tempe and in Prescott.

Pam was an educator for 35 years in the Tempe school district. She held two master's degrees and contributed as a teacher, counselor, and principal. She was active with the Prescott Fine Arts and the Questers. No immediate service is planned but a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

The family suggests contributions to the Make A Wish Foundation for those who wish to honor Pam.
