Doctor Marcus M. Marble died on Thursday, September 27, 2007, in Sun City West, Arizona. He was born August 21, 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents, Anna Mary and Marcus Marble, Sr. Raised in Memphis, he had attended and graduated from Memphis State University. After graduation, he had served in the United States Army. Upon his return to Tennessee, he enrolled in the University of Tennessee Medical School. With his diploma in hand, he moved west and served his internship at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. In October of 1952, he opened his practice in Buckeye, Arizona, and continuously practiced medicine until his retirement a few years ago. Over the years Dr. Marble had treated many, many folks of the Buckeye Valley. Doctor Marble was a long time member of the Litchfield Park Kiwanis Club and had served in many capacities both on the local level and for the International organization. He was also active in the Boy Scouts and supported them in many ways. Dr. Marble was also a member of the Buckeye Valley Masonic Lodge #42.

He is survived by his sister, Shirley and her husband, Jack Dail of Sun City, Arizona; his nieces: Trine Hultstrand of Katy, Texas; Mary Anderson of Santa Ana, California and Liz Bauer of Anthem, Arizona.

A memorial service was held at Grandview Terrace located at 14515 W. Granite Valley Road in Sun City West, Arizona. The family requests contributions be made to the Kiwanis International Foundation, 3636 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis, Indiana 45268-3196. Arrangements entrusted to Buckeye Funeral Home, 623-386-4812.
