Mr. Dale O. Carson, age 64, of Prescott, Ariz., died Tuesday, June 15, 1999 at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott, Ariz. He was born November 4, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Oscar F. and Florence (Mingee) Carson.

Dale was a graduate of the General Motors Institute where he was trained in automotive and electrical distribution. He was privileged to have been invited to the institute on two different occasions. Dale worked as a skilled trade journeyman electrician for AC Spark Plug Corporation for 25 years and retired when he became medically disabled with multiple sclerosis.

He moved to Prescott, Arizona from Grand Blanc, Michigan in November of 1989. Dale married his beloved Judith Kuehnell on September 25, 1954 and lived 44 years happily together.

Dale had been a Cub Master and Scout Master and was president of the P.T.A. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective order of Elks. Dale served as an electrical consultant to the Board of Directors for the Heritage Park Zoo in Prescott, where he developed many ideas for electrical systems that are now in place at the Zoo. He also served with his wife, Judith on St. Mark's Catholic Church parish council in Goodrich, Michigan. Dale was a Certified National Rifle Association instructor. He enjoyed skiing and golfing, as well as bowling. Dale also enjoyed dancing with his wife but his true passion was the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping with his son and traveling with his family.

Dale was proud of his loving family and being a member of the Prescott community.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dale Anthony in 1998, his great-grandson, Tyler James in 1993 and his parents. Dale was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law and buddy, Jean in 1995. Dale will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Surviving are: wife, Judith of Prescott; daughters, Susan Martineau of Allen Park, Michigan, Linda Johnson of Goodrich, Michigan, Teresa Flowers of Prescott, Michigan; sisters, Joan Rice of Flint, Michigan, Stella Mair, also of Flint, Michigan; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, June 21, 1999 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fred Le Claire, C.M.F., presiding.
