The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Ronald E. Hinton, age 70, passed away Jan. 17, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Moorhead, Minn., to Floyd "Bud" and Sylvia (Peterson) Hinton. Ronald retired after 26 years from the City of Los Angeles, Calif., where he worked as a painter for the Parks and Recreation Department. He and his wife Beverly moved to Prescott in 2004 from California and he was active in the Little League and was a booster along with his wife Beverly. He also was active in the N.O.A.H. organization where he helped care for the abandoned animals here in our community. He loved living in Prescott and will be missed and loved by his family and friends. He was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served his country. Ronald is survived by his wife Beverly; daughter Shannon; son and daughter-in-law Steven (Debi); and his brother Rick (Linda) Hinton. Commemoration services in honor of Ronald will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #6, Prescott. A reception will follow the services at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials in memory of Ronald be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 E. Sheldon St., Suite 105, Prescott, Ariz., 86301. The family wants to thank Hospice Family Care for their care for Ronald and the family. Heritage Memory Mortuary Prescott, Ariz. is handling the arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
