Kenneth Dale (Ken) Frye

Kenneth "Ken" Dale Frye, born July 13, 1938 in Berlin, Wis. He died in his home on Jan. 9, 2009 in Apache Junction, Ariz. Ken is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Diane; four children, Robert (Laurie), Richard (Rita), Julie, Laurie (Robert); two step-children, Leroy (Deanna) and Victoria (Alec); 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother David (Barbara) Frye; and many nieces and nephews and family and friends that were supporting through it all. Ken is preceded in death by his parents.

Ken moved to Arizona in 1947 from Wisconsin, graduated from Mesa High in 1956. He purchased the Photo Center in Mesa, Ariz. from his dad in 1963. Sold the store and moved to Prescott, Ariz. in 1983, where he purchased the Camera Center. He sold the store in 1998 and retired after 42 years as a retail cameraman; a job and profession he loved. Ken enjoyed all sports, and loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting and camping throughout his life. In 2005 Ken moved back to the Valley.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his name. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1650 S. Ironwood Drive, Apache Junction, Ariz., 85220.
