Emmelene Edith Eaton, beloved and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed peacefully from this world into the hands of our Lord Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 with Larry, her soul mate and husband of 50 years, at her side. She was 74, born May 20, 1934, in Minlo, Okla., to Jack and Edith Rasnic.

Emmelene grew up and graduated valedictorian from high school in Oklahoma. She spent much of her adult life in Ohio with Larry and her children. The family moved to Arizona in 1973, where she and Larry lived 35 years in Phoenix and Dewey. She enjoyed being part of the Orme School community, where she worked for 11 years before retiring in 2002.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Jack. She leaves behind her loving husband Larry; six brothers and sisters; children, Jack, Donna, Mike, Jana, Jeff and Candy; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Emmelene's greatest joy in life was time spent with her family. Her kind and giving heart, and warm, genuine laughter, will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing her.
