Regina Lynn Abrams, 46, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away on Jan. 1, 2009, at home.

Regina was born Sept. 10, 1962, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Howard and Elsie Abrams of Marshalltown, Iowa. Regina was a former employee of the State of Arizona for 20 years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.

Regina was an avid musician and enjoyed traveling. She graduated in 1981 from Marshalltown High School in Marshalltown, Iowa, and received a BA degree from Ottawa University.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents and sister Donna. She is survived by Marianne Smeltzer, partner; sister Sandy Clapsaddle of Topeka, Kan.; brother Larry Abrams of State Center, Iowa; and sister Linda Fulton of Springdale, Ark.; as well as a brother, Jeffrey Madsen, from Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of Sedona.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to one's local Humane Society.
