Marian Helen Kirkwood

Marian Kirkwood left this world on Oct. 11, 2005, at her home in Humboldt after an eight-year courageous battle with lymphoma cancer.

Marian was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Humboldt, to James and Karen Jenson. She resided in Humboldt all her life with the exception of 10 years. She was very proud of her Danish Heritage. Over the years she had numerous jobs outside the home having worked at the Shirt Factory, Duncan's Café, Riata Pass and the Humboldt School cafeteria. She was an accomplished seamstress and her passion was her home and yard.

First and foremost of importance was her family and friends. She was a custodial mother and wife and always the first one there for someone in need.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers, husband, George Kirkwood; son, Chuck Yount and daughter, Jerralene Mallory. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Jackson; stepson, Van Kirkwood; son-in-law, Jon Mallory; two grandsons, J.C. Jackson and Travis Mallory; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed.

Services for Marian will be on Monday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., at the Humboldt Bible Church, in Humboldt, with Rev. Jim Jones officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
