Dorothy Davis Stuart, age 89, of Mayer, Ariz., passed away on April 30, 2004. Dorothy was born on the Snake River in Weiser, Idaho, on June 5, 1914, to William C. and Mamie Davis.

Dorothy moved to Phoenix in 1915, where she lived during her younger years. She graduated from Glendale High School and was raised on the dairy farm her family owned and operated on Mamie Lane in Glendale.

Dorothy moved to Mayer in 1982 and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and president of their Ladies Missionary Society.

Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Sutler of Mayer, Ariz.; her son, John W. Pendergast of Sun City; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three of her children, Linda L. Pendergast, Ronald D. Pendergast and Joan W. Cotton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2004, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Menke Funeral Home Chapel, 12420 North 103rd Avenue, Sun City, Arizona.

Menke Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
