Johnny V. Soqui

SOQUI, Johnny Valdez, 67, passed away March 11, 2007 in Tucson.

Born in Winkelman, July 27, 1939. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. A miner, he had worked for the local mines.

He is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Sam) Martinez of Dudleyville, and four sons, John (Jeannine) of Hayden, Alfonso (Theresa) of Mammoth, Ronald of Missouri, Joseph of Aravaipa; four sisters, Lupe Cardenas, Emelia Soqui, Clara "Becky" Vigil and Della Ochoa, all of Tucson; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Refugio and Emilia Soqui.

The viewing will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 300 Mt. View Dr., in Hayden.
