Emma Long, age 89, died Thursday evening, March 18, 2004, at Las Fuentes Care Center, Prescott, Ariz. Emma was born Dec. 28, 1914, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Gooch Long and Emma (Forbes) Long.

She worked for the U.S. Agriculture Department for 37 years, retiring in 1973. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Prescott.

Emma is survived by her sister, Mary (William) Gale of Prescott, a nephew, and three nieces.

A private cremation will be held at Bradshaw Crematory. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
