Alice Pearl Jones, 85, was born in Reader, Ark., on Sep. 29. 1921 passed away in Mesa, Ariz., on Nov. 11, 2006.

She attended schools in Arkansas then moved to Prescott, Ariz. She lived in Humboldt, Ariz. for over 20 years; she also lived in Peru, South America for 13 years and enjoyed their travels during their time there.

Her interests included coaching Girls Basketball in Humboldt, Ariz. and was a long time Phoenix Suns fan. She was involved in many organizations including Sunland Village Bridge Club, Ladies Elks in Prescott, Ariz., and the American Legion Auxiliary in Apache Junction, Ariz.

She loved her large family and enjoyed their Family Reunions.

Alice is survived by her children: Charlene (Andy) Strommen of Mesa, Ariz. and Douglas Jones of Mesa, Ariz., 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Clarence (Elsie) Jones of Minnesota, James Lloyd (Charlotte) Jones of Nevada, aunts Charlene "Bert" (Jerry) Ball of Arizona and Carol Lindley of Arizona, many nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents Furnice "Bud" & Beryl (Evans) Lindley, husband Charles Jones, brothers Curtis Lindley, Eugene Lindley & Kenneth Lindley.

A Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2006 with Services following at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, Ariz., 85301.

Burial immediately follows at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to the Kate Garber Senior Citizen Center, 13000 E. Prescott St., Humboldt, Ariz., 86329.
