Judith (Waldman) Weiss

Posted 2012-04-21 by Pat Wilson
Judith Weiss, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on July 26, 2006 at the age of 66.

She was born in Springfield, Illinois on June 15, 1940 to Leah and Jack Waldman, spent most of her childhood in Philadelphia, and moved to Phoenix with her family in 1958.

She graduated from Arizona State University and then worked as an elementary school teacher in the Washington School District.

She married Roland in 1963 and they had three children--Brian, Jon and Jacque. Judy and Roland, who preceded her in death in 2002, were married for nearly thirty-nine years.

She had a life-long passion for good books, the beach, mint chocolate chip ice cream and, above all else, her family. She is survived by her three children, her four grandchildren, her two brothers and her sister.

We love her with every fiber of our being and will carry her in our hearts every moment of our lives.

Contributions in her memory can be made to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation, 1920 E. Cambridge Ave., Ste. #200, Phoenix, AZ 85006. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.

Published in The Arizona Republic on 7/28/2006.
