Lewis Albert Heinle, 64, of Casa Grande died Oct. 5, 2006 at home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel, with Pastor Roy Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. A third-generation Arizonan from the Verde Valley, Mr. Heinle was born Oct. 25, 1941 in Jerome to Loren and Mary Heinle. He moved to Casa Grande in 1951 and graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1959. He served in the Army National Guard from 1961 to 1974. He was an active member of Casa Grande Valley Historical Society and enjoyed his time as a docent at the museum. He received the society's Quiet Man Award in 2004. He enjoyed camping and was able to spend last summer in the cool country near Flagstaff. He was an avid mineral collector and spent many years as a part-time firefighter. His favorite times were being with his family and especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dee Rinda; two daughters, DeeLane Heinle and Dianne Trammell of Casa Grande; two brothers, Loren E. Heinle of Cherry Hill, N.J., and William J. Heinle of Casa Grande; three sisters, Mary E. Davis of Tempe, Marjorie Petry of Arizona City and Eleanor Andrade of Taos, N.M.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
