Departed on Dec. 27, 2008 and resided in Rimrock, Ariz.

William "Scott" McConachie, 67, of Rimrock, Ariz. died December 27, 2008. He was born January 9, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Harold and Jean McConachie.

He attended Marysville High School and attended junior college. He served in the Air Force for 21 years reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. He served in Vietnam. His career also included Corry Foam Plant, Associated Springs-Barnes Group, and the Cliff Castle Casino and the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

He enjoyed traveling, fishing, outdoor sports, radio and electronic repair, military history, was an airplane buff and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Christopher Cesario. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Bonnie McConachie; sons, William Bateman of Utah and Shane Scott Bateman of Texas; daughters, Lizette (Randy) Fife of Idaho, Valerie (Eric) Niederriter of Pennsylvania and Kristi (Nathaniel Luedeker) McConachie of Arizona; a sister, Sandra Cesario of California and nine grandchildren. He also leaves family in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Florida, California, Michigan, Texas, Utah and Idaho.

An open house to celebrate Scott's life will be held at a later date.
