David Alan Kesterson, aka "Big Wave Dave." He entered this world on Aug. 20, 1952, in Tucson, Ariz., to Richard Owen and Kathryn Mae Kesterson. He left this world a better place on Jan. 23, 2008.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lindsey; his amazing son, Ben Owen; his beautiful daughter, Lacey Lynn; his brothers, Robert and John; and his sister, Nancy, and their families; his gregarious
brother-in-law, Skip Smith and his family; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family, including grandchildren Tye & Wyatt Seets, in addition to a brotherhood of close friends who were his family and heart, too.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest son, Daniel Alan, infant daughter Kathryn Adele, and infant sons Arthur Joseph and William Edward. We rejoice in the knowledge that he has been reunited with them.

Dave was the owner of Kesterson Construction, and an extremely talented builder. He was "Mr. Fix-It" - if you needed him, he'd always be there. There was nothing he couldn't build - and no one who could build it better.

He dedicated much of his life to the youth of Prescott through Little
League, where he strove to fulfill the dreams of his mentor, Bill Vallely. He coached, built dugouts or whatever else was needed, worked tirelessly on fields, and even served as the League President.

Dave was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors, and his family and friends above all else. He was his family's personal "Superman."

He didn't know the meaning of the word can't. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.

A viewing will be Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home on Cortez Street in Prescott.

The funeral will be Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10:30 a.m. at American Lutheran Church on Scott Drive in Prescott.

In lieu of flowers please send donations for the Daniel Kesterson Memorial Scholarship fund to: 1201 Cross Timbers Road, Flower Mound, Texas, 75208; or for Prescott Little League, 1042 Willow Creek Road
