The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, August 6, 2006 James Lee Edwardson, 73, died Aug. 3, 2006, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born March 1, 1933, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Herman and Frances (Kennedy) Edwardson. James was a resident of Chino Valley for 61 years. He served as the Fire Chief for 14 years in Chino Valley. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Vona Jo Edwardson of Chino Valley; three daughters, Diana Jones and Sonja Bamrick of Fort Worth, Texas, and Leela Jones of Pittsburg, Kan.; one son, Steve Edwardson of Ft. Worth, Texas; one sister, Joan Myers of Chino Valley; his mother, Frances Edwardson of Chino Valley; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A Commemoration Service will be held for James at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chino Valley on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at 10 a.m. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Bishop Carl Tenney will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service in Chino Valley Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
