| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, May 16, 2004 Russell (Russ) Dale Moore, born in Ohio, April 4, 1938, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2004, after a short illness with cancer. Russ contributed to this world to make it a better place. He was a thoughtful and loving man known to many as a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and sports official. He is survived by his wife, Rita Moore; children, Lori Johnston (Ken), Patrick Moore (Debra) of Illinois, David Burrell (Jana), Brandon Burrell (Karen); grandchildren, Ryan and Christopher Johnston, James, Shawn and Katelynn Moore, Larisa and Michael Burrell. In Ohio, sister, Becky Harmon, uncle, Chet Mehl, stepmom, Dixie Moore, and stepdad Ted Kleim. A Celebration of Russ Moore's Life will be held at the Elk's Opera House, 117 East Gurley Street, in Prescott, on May 22 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to your local high school athletic department or to the American Cancer Society. Advantage Funeral Home, of Phoenix, assisted the family with the arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
