The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 28, 2005 Ula Gertrude Young Ludwick, age 99, of Chino Valley, Ariz., died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. she was born in Holcomb, W.V, and moved to Chino Valley in 1971, from Savannah, Ga. Of all the jobs she had she was most proud of working as a welder / riveter building minesweepers during WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 1/2 years, Russell Howard Ludwick, and one grandchild, Robert Earl Young. Survivors include daughters, Lorena Marie Beard of Lake City, Fla., ruth Ludwick, of Chino Valley, Ruby Frame of Haymarket, Va., and Rose Ludwick of Chino Valley; a son, William Russell Ludwick of West Melbourne, Fla.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30th, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave, Prescott. Church services will be conducted Dec. 30th, at noon by Pastor Barbara Robinson, at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church, 735 East Road 1 South, in Chino Valley. Graveside services will be conducted at Heritage Memorial Park, in Dewey, Ariz. immediately following the service. Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary. Information provided by survivors.
