Nicholas H. Lamond - Walker

Nicholas H. Lamond-Walker died Dec. 1, 2005, at his home with his family beside him. Nick was born in Hertford County, England, on March 11, 1930.

He entered the United States by way of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1960. He lived in Phoenix, then later in Prescott, where he was the proprietor of "TheShop" on Hinman Street for 25 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Nichola Dumanski of Mentor, Ohio, and Pamela Jack of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., along with his grandchildren, Augusta, James, Walker, and Andrew.

His legendary "Limey" humor, wonderful wit and dignified grace will be missed by all of us gifted to have known him... "WooHoo."

Inlieu of flowers, please make donations to Dare County Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, N.C. 27954 or a local Hospice Care Facility.

Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
