Clinton Frederick (Fred) Sibley

Clinton Frederick (Fred) Sibley, 77, passed away June 26, 1994 at the VA Hospital, Prescott, Arizona.

He was born November 13, 1916 in Roulette, North Dakota to Charles and Julia (Hansen) Sibley. Mr Sibley served in the U.

S. Navy volunteering for the Asiatic Theater at the onset of World War II. He was captured by the Japanese and was interred as a Prisoner of War in the Philippine labor camps and Japanese coal mines for nearly four years; at the end of the war he was honorably discharged.

He lived in or near the Los Angeles area where he was a successful businessman and thoroughbred horse analyst. He numbered among his friends Gen. Omar Bradley and Earl Shieb. Here he married Sophia Newman Sibley. They later retired and moved to Riverton, Utah until the death of his wife in 1989.

Survived by sisters, Alice Robinson and Jean Bryant, both Calif.; many nieces and nephews.

Interment took place at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia with Full Military Honors.
