Antonio Cordova Martinez Born in Jerome, Arizona on Feb. 3, 1933. Departed on July 12, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Antonio Cordova Martinez, 69, of Cottonwood, died July 12. He was born February 3, 1933 in Jerome, Ariz. Mr. Martinez grew up in Jerome was a lifelong resident of the Verde Valley. He worked and retired from Phoenix Cement Company as a welder. He served in the US Army during the Korean War with dstinction. He is a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He attended St, Cecilia's Catholic Church. He leaves his former wife, Marie Martinez, Goodyear; sons, Anthony Martinez, Jr., Flagtsaff and Rudy Martinez, Cottonwood; daughters, Monique Sanchez, Goodyear and Nadine Martinez, Prescott Valley; sisters, Maggie Rodriguez, Licha Perez and Mary Rodriguez all of California; brothers, Macario Martinez , Sun City, Ariz., John Martinez, Clarkdale and George Martinez, Penn. and seven grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, July 15 from 6-7:30 with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 16 in the Church at 10 a.m. Military honors will be presented. Westcott Funeral Home is directing these arrangements.
