| John C. Martinez Born in Jerome, Arizona on Jun. 24, 1935 Departed on Jul. 24, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz. John C. Martinez, 67 of Clarkdale, Arizona died on Tuesday, July 23rd. A life long resident of the Verde Valley he was born in Jerome, Ariz. on June 24, 1935. He was a welder and he retired from the Phoenix Cement Company. He was a long time member of Saint Cecilia's Mission Church in Clarkdale. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife: Elvira; a daughter: Suzanne Amos of Mesa; three sons: Jon Martinez of Flagstaff; Art Martinez of Rimrock; Richard Martinez of Clarkdale; three sisters; Maggie Rodriquez, Licha Perez, Mary Rodriquez all of California; two brothers: Macario Martinez of Sun City; George Martinez of Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28th at Immaculate Conception Church. Recitaion of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Father Bud Pelletier will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 29th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale. Westcott Funeral Home of Cottonwood is assisting the Martinez Family with arrangements. |
