John M. Blair, 87, of Prescott, Arizona died July 28, 1995 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Avis, N.M. on December 1, 1907.

He moved to Arizona with his family in 1920, settling in Kingman, Ariz., John and Winifred Jordan were married on August 18, 1931.

He is survived by Winifred; daughter: Ann Smith of Phoenix, Ariz. and Nora Townsend and husband Stan of Flagstaff, Ariz.; sons: William and wife Evelyn of Albuquerque, N.M., and James of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Dicie Foutz of Nevada; nine grandchildren: William, Michael, DiAn, Lisa, Elisa, Sarah, John, Vicki, and David; and five great-grandchildren: Blake; Ryan, Rachel, Alexis, and Kevin.

He worked for Tarr, McComb, and Ware Commercial Company in Kingman and Prescott.

John was a member of Kingman Elks Lodge #468. He was initiated on April 5, 1930. He served the Kingman Lodge as Exalted Ruler. As a member of the Arizona Elks Association, he was a Past State President, Past District Deputy and a Past State Trustee. He was a member of Rotary international serving as President. John was a member of the Kingman Chamber of Commerce serving as President. He was a member of the District #4, Kingman Grammar School Board serving as President. A memorial Service was held August 4, 1995 in Phoenix, Ariz.
