Karen Denise (Sumrow) Kreins - Borthwick - Perry

Karen Denise Perry passed away on. Jan. 9, 2008, at her home in Prescott, after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 21, 1960, in Inglewood, Calif., and grew up in El Segundo, Calif.

Karen is survived by her parents, Byron and Janice Sumrow of Prescott; husband Robert Perry of Prescott; son Steven Kreins and wife Sharrie of Portland, Ore.; daughters Danielle and Cortney Borthwick of Prescott; sisters Sheri Armijo and family of El Segundo, Tracy Schoch and family of Kailua, Hawaii, Kelli Viliborghi and family of Queen Creek, Ariz.; brother Cory Sumrow and family of Queen Creek; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Kreins of Portland.

Karen and her family have called Prescott home since 1997.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and wife who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid crafter who loved participating in local craft fairs with her mother Janice.

She will be missed and will always remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations go to the Garth B. Last Foundation, care of Granite Mountain Care and Hospice, 3107 Clearwater Drive, Prescott, Arizona 86305.
