Martha Belle (Kitty) (Steele) Balow

Kitty Balow, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Dec. 13, 2005, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott, Ariz.

A descendant of an early 1860's pioneer family, Kitty was born on June 1, 1941, to Roy and Ada Bacon Steele in Kingman and received her education in Mohave County.

Dale and Kitty met on Sept. 3, 1961, in Williams and were married Sept. 13, 1961. They spent more than 45 happy years together.

Kitty excelled in making a truly warm and loving home, not only for her family and relatives, but for friends and strangers alike.

Survivors include husband, Dale H. Balow; one daughter, Bonnie Tyree and son-in-law, Joe Tyree; two sons, Buddy (Dale Roy) Balow, Ben Balow and Renee Lieffort; a sister, Norma Isaacs; four grandsons, Eph Balow, Ian Kitterman, Dylon Tyree, and Ben Balow; and many nieces and nephews.

Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family in the final arrangements.

A celebration of Kitty's life will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, in the American Lutheran Church located at 1085 Scott Drive, in Prescott.

Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at the Skull Valley Cemetery.
