Rumaldo D. Apodaca

Rumaldo D. Apodaca, 71 of Alpine, Ariz., passed away in Phoenix, Ariz. on May 18, 2007. He was born in Socorro, Texas.

After his service in the U.S. Army he moved to Dudleyville, Ariz. in 1960 where he worked at ASARCO until he retired in 1998. He then moved to his dream home in Alpine, Ariz., where he loved being in the mountains and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, watching the elk roam and going for his daily walks in his quiet solitude.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and one sister. Rumaldo is survived by his sister, Luisa Chavez (Apodaca); his brother, Rudalpho Apodaca and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.

He will always be lovingly remembered as "UNCLE PINERS PININI".

Visitation will be Friday evening, May 25th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N. Main St. Eagar, Ariz.

Mass and Christian burial will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 117 Apache St., Springerville, Ariz., with a graveside prayer to follow in Nutrioso, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Rumaldo's name to the Barrows Neurological Institute at 350 West Thomas Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85013, or contact the Office at (602) 406-3041.
