David W. (Whirlwind) Sine

Born in Clarkdale, Arizona on Aug. 13, 1921.
Departed on Sep. 5, 2008 and resided in Arvada, Colorado.

David W. Sine, also known as "Whirlwind", 87, former resident of the Verde Valley, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008 in Arvada, Colorado where he was currently residing.

David was born Auguat 13, 1921 in Clarkdale, Ariz.; he was the son of Arthur and Mary (Quail) Sine.

David was proud to be a Veteran, and served his country during WWII as a Private First Class in the United States Army. David was also an Arizona Living Treasure; a renowed artist; and a Busch Master.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Dee Sine; and three sisters, Bernice Smith, Margaret Pedro, and Dorothy Butler. David leaves behind his wife, Kathy Sine; six children, Michael Sine, Duke Sine, Mary Sine Williams, Debra Sine, Terrance Sine, and Gerard Sine; one sister, Barbara Lewis; twelve grandchildren, Dianna Sine, Patrick Jay Dansdill, Jess Williams, Amber Dansdill, Tahnee Baker, Violet Whatoname, Jaime Sine, Autumn Whatoname, Stevie Sine, Tony Sine, Ruby Whatoname, and Rising Sun Whatoname; as well as six great-grandchildren, Marshall Baker, Leah Kinsey, Alice Kinsey, Danielle Baker, Darnell Baker, and Yazmine Dansdill.

A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Yavapai-Apache Nation Gymnasium in Middle Verde, Arizona.

Inurnment will follow Tuesday morning, September 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Carlos Cemetery in San Carlos, Arizona.
