Sedona, Red Rock News, Sedona, Arizona Saturday, December 9, 2006 Mary I. Ainsworth Feb. 7, 1924 — Dec. 1, 2006 Mary Imogene Ainsworth, 82, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died Friday, Dec. 1. Ainsworth’s survivors include sons Chester Ainsworth Jr., of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Kenneth [Kay] Ainsworth, of Flagstaff; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service takes place at Cottonwood Village, 201 Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ December 06, 2006 Mary Imogene Ainsworth, 82, of Cottonwood, died Dec. 1, 2006. She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Durango, Colo., the daughter of William R. and Mary Deer. She attended Durango Elementary School and Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Ark. She went on to attend John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark., for three years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater, Okla. She received her Master's Degree in Home Economics from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Ark. She was married to the late Chester B. Ainsworth. She taught Home Economics at Coconino High School in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona University for 20 years. Mrs. Ainsworth had been a member of the Federated Church of Flagstaff and the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Her hobbies included painting, sewing cooking and grandkids. She is survived by two sons, Chester Ainsworth Jr. of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Kenneth Ainsworth (Kay) of Flagstaff; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be Saturday, Dec. 9, at Cottonwood Village Retirement Center, 201 E. Mingus Ave., at 10 a.m. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com. |
