The Sedona Red Rock News, Sedona, Arizona Friday, Oct. 10, 2003 Jean Shirley Stuart, 83, a resident of Sedona, Ariz. died Oct. 10 in her home. Born in Manville, Wyo., she moved to California in 1930 and lived in Glendale, Calif., after 1932. Mrs. Stuart graduated from Glendale College in 1946 and from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1949. She was a life member of the University of California Santa Barbara Alumni Association. Mrs. Stuart was a high school teacher in Ventura, Calif., from 1949 to 1951, and taught for 26 years in the Pasadena Unified School District. She retired in 1979 and moved to Sedona with her mother, Lela Fisher Stuart. Mrs. Stuart was a very gifted organist and pianist. Mrs. Stuart will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her dear friends Peter and Ellie. |
