Donald George Johnston, 57, of Cornville, Ariz., passed away on July 26, 2008. He was born on March 24, 1951 in Kellogg, Idaho to Ray and Doris Johnston.

Don came to Cornville, AZ four years ago from Spokane, Washington. He was a talented carpenter and a very creative artist with metals, woods, stone and sketching. Don was also an avid car enthusiast, mechanic and body man. He recently completed his 1929 Model "A" Roadster, which had been a lifelong dream. He also enjoyed cars, music, fishing, exploring and so much more.

Don is thought of highly and dearly loved by his many friends and family. He is survived by his sisters, Glenys McPherson of Boise, Idaho, Jennifer Bell, (Al) of Joseph, Oregon; son Jesse Stanley (Suzy); grandchildren Jerrod, River, and Lexy of Spokane, Wash.; daughter Errin Hawkes (Chris) of Austin, Texas; his bride Gayle, who "I am leaving to ride my fences when I'm gone", stepdaughter Rebecca Tarrant and granddaughter Mackenzie of Cornville, Ariz.; and stepsons Curtis and Nick Tarrant of Phoenix, Ariz. There are many nieces and nephews: Kelly Sachs, Matt Bell and Jacey Bell and so many others who loved and are loved.

Private memorial services will be held.
