Born in Schenectady, New York on Dec. 9, 1925.
Departed on Aug. 4, 2008 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz.

John Richard Spease "Jack", 82 of Sedona, Ariz., passed away August 4. He was born December 9, 1925 in Schenectady, New York to John and Carolyn Spease.

Jack attended Grant High School for 4 years then onto Oregon State University. He became a sergeant in the Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart. He then worked for General Electric Co.

Jack belonged to St. Andrews Episcopal Church. He enjoyed wood-working and fishing.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon; sons Steven Spease (Irmi) of Houston, Texas and John Spease (Laurie) of Farrwest, Utah; daughters Stacey Spease (David) of Tempe, Ariz. and Nancy Spease (Greg) of Redwood City, Calif.; brother Gene Carroll of Lapine, Oreg.; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2008 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 100 Arroyo Pinon Drive, Sedona, Ariz.
