| Joyce F. Simmons Born in Woodlake, Nebraska on Oct. 7, 1919. Departed on Aug. 11, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariona. Joyce Ferguson Simmons, 82, of Clarkdale, Ariz., died August 11, 2002. She was born October 7, 1919 in Woodlake, Cherry County, Nebraska. She was a retired certified public accountant. She has lived in Arizona 15 years, coming from Nevada. She leaves her husband, Archibald P. Simmons; a daughter, Dixie Lee Carter, Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, William Dennis Steele, Reno, Nev.; a step-daughter, Irene Gail Simmons of Laverne, Calif.; two step-sons Roy Scott Simmons, Hawaii and Thomas Lee Simmons, Fullerton, Calif.; a brother, Newton Ferguson, Vista, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Younger, Longview, Tx. and Nell Barton, Andrew, Tx.; a brother-in-law, Jack Simmons, Longview, Tx.; a grandson, Tony Steel, Atlanta, Ga.; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held August 14 in the Verde Baptist Church. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with these arrangements. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
