| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, April 7, 2006 Cathy Sponcel, age 63, passed away peacefully at home with her family and friends by her side on April 3, 2006, in Dewey, Ariz. She was born July 6, 1942 in Phoenix, to Patrick and Frances (Richards) Hargrove. Cathy worked as a librarian for the Republic and Gazette newspapers. She also worked with people with disabilities and as a caregiver for Aires. Cathy was dedicated to her family and her friends, who she considered to be a part of her family. Cathy is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Sponcel. Cathy is survived by her son Michael (Julie) Mellow of Hood River, Ore.; her daughter Vivian (Gary) Marcott of Dewey; grandchildren Danielle, Jamie, Jacquelyn, Mitchell, Lindsey and McKenzie. Commemoration services in honor of Cathy will be held Saturday April 8, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Sunrise Funeral Home. 8167 E. Hwy 69, Prescott Valley. Burial will follow the services at Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery in Dewey, Arizona. Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors. |
