Cari Butkewicz

Cari Butkewicz, 16, of Chino Valley, Ariz., was called home by her Lord on Jan. 25, 2006. She was born in Bethpage, N.Y., on May 22, 1989, to Chuck and Marie Butkewicz. Cari had lived in Chino Valley for the last 14 years.


Cari was an excellent student who would have graduated this spring a year early. She had been home schooled for the past 3 years. She enjoyed working at Fuzzy Wigs Candy Factory. She had a tender heart and and a lifelong love for toy lambs.

Cari played the bass guitar, collected guitar picks, and enjoyed listening to music. Cari was a Girl Scout most of her life, a bell ringer at Safeway, and had volunteered at KGCB radio station.

She is survived by her parents Chuck and Marie Butkewicz of Chino Valley, Ariz.; her grandmother Harriet Scrimo of Chino Valley, Ariz.; her sister Dawn Scroggins of Prescott, Ariz.; her nephew, Isaac Gray of Prescott, Ariz. and various aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Grace Baptist Church in Memory of Cari.

Hampton Funeral Home lovingly assisted the family with the arrangements.
