Marcia Aljean Chapman of Cordes Lakes, Ariz., was received into Heaven at 12:05 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2006, after a valiant fight against ovarian cancer. She will be sadly missed by the family and friends whom she touched during her 63 years.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lila Isabelle Hutson Davis, and father, William Marion Davis, both of Decatur, Illinois, and grandparents Austin and Lora Dell Hutson of California and Gilbert and Beatrice Davis of Harristown, Illinois.

Marcia invested her faith into all that she accomplished and onto all of the people she touched over the years.

She has long been an active member of God's Army and will now be installed to his works immediately. Her minister once said of her Bible that it was worn, studied from cover to cover, and used daily to strengthen her and all those that received the peace and faith which she spread in her quiet way. Marcia was a devoted mother to five loving children: Samual Noel Chapman Jr. and wife Daedra, Kelly Ann Romine and husband of Plummer, Idaho Chris of Cordes Lakes, Ariz.; Brian Keith Chapman and wife Deb of Poland Junction, Ariz.; Jefferson Clifford Chapman and wife Angie, of Cordes Lakes, Ariz.; and Shelly Jean Feltmann and husband Greg of Spring Valley, Ariz.

Each and every one of her nine grandchildren had known of her love and care for them.

Marcia had four siblings, Marian Lee Jones of Titusville, Fla.; William Elvis Davis of Decatur, Ill.; Cheryl Kaye Evans of Damascus, Va.; and Alice Gail Ayers of Tifton, Ga.; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Her memories and quiet peace will be with all of her family and friends as they continue through life.
