| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 27, 2009 Holly Kristin Reynolds, 57, of Prescott, Ariz., born Feb. 23, 1951, in Big Fork, Minn., died Jan. 26, 2009, at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Goodyear, Ariz. A celebration of life memorial service will be 12 noon Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at the Yavapai College Performance Hall in Prescott. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. ------------------------------------ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 04, 2009 Holly Kristin Detjen-Reynolds passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2009. Recently diagnosed with cancer, Holly was receiving treatment at the new Cancer Treatment Center of America in Goodyear, Ariz., when her body was overcome with illness. With her family by her side, she, with amazing grace, was released from her body-bound life, and returned to the angels from which she came. Holly was born Feb. 23, 1951, in Big Fork, Minn. She is survived by her high school sweetheart of 40 years, and husband Steven Reynolds; her "litter" of children, Ashleyanne (Dante) van Detjen-Poles of Boston, Mass., Jeremy Reynolds of Phoenix, Ariz., Detjen Jones of Tucson, Ariz., Courtland Jones of Cambridge, Mass., Jeffery Reynolds of Phoenix, Ariz., Alexandria van Detjen of Prescott, Ariz., Katelin Reynolds of Prescott, Ariz.; and all the critters she saved along the way. Holly has been a native Arizonian since her family moved from Minnesota in 1959. Holly worked for Yavapai College as the ticket sales manager at the Performance Hall. She was a beloved member of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Prescott Ambassadors. Additionally, Holly volunteered her time to the Yavapai County Election Board. She was well respected for both her dedication and her enthusiasm to the organizations and the people she loved. XOXO Holly. Holly Kristin Reynolds passed away on January 26, 2009 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Goodyear, Arizona. She was only 57 years old. She was born February 23, 1951 in Big Fork, Minnesota to Edward Donald & Dorthy Jane (Thompson) Detjen. Holly married her high school sweetheart on November 8, 1995 in a shot gun wedding while pregnant with her daughter, it only took her 40 years to say I do. She worked as a Ticket Sales Manager for the Performing Arts of Yavapai College and lived in Arizona most of her life. She was a college graduate and was a member of Prescott Chamber of Commerce and the Prescott Ambassadors. Gardening her pansies and shopping the half off sale at the Goodwill on Saturday’s was what Holly enjoyed. She was most proud of her friends, family, children, and her dream home. Holly will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
