Thomas Lee Lester, 82, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Graveside services with Military Honors were held Jan, 7, 2009, at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.

Tom was born Jan. 26, 1926. in Mt. Summit, Ind., the son of Thomas B. and Mabel Lester.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rozella and Belle. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Evelyn; a sons, Thomas J. Lester of Boulder City, Nev.; a daughter, Delores L. Rich of Auburn, Ala.; four grandchildren, Kristina, Catlin, Amy and Steven; one great-grandchild, Brennen; and a sister, Estelle Burt of Las Vegas, Nev.

After serving in the Army in the South Pacific and Japan in WWII, Tom attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a retired businessman, having been a purchasing agent for the Indianapolis Public Schools, owner of Tom's Car Wash and Tom's Camping Store, where he sold a full line of RV's and supplies. Tom's favorite activities were square dancing and camping. We traveled most of the United States camping, only missing the New England States.

Tom was a great husband and father, caring of relatives and friends and always ready to help someone.
