Florence Cozad, Grammer school teacher, received word December 21 of the death of her father, A. B. Cozad, of Claysville, Pa. She left immediately by plane for Claysville to attend the services.

Arthur B Cozad, road supervisor of Donegal Township, died Tuesday, Dec 21, 1948, at 5:40pm, at his home in The Meadows section of Claysville, following a brief illness.

Mr. Cozad had been road supervisor for the past eight years and previously served two terms as assessor of Donegal Township.
He was an active member of the Claysville Methodist Church, having served for many years as Sunday School superintendent. He was also a member of the Men's Fellowship of the church.

He was born near Van Buren, Washington County, April 19, 1880, a son of Henry and Elizabeth McCollister Cozad, but had resided in the Claysville district for the past 60 years. He was the last of his family.

Mr. Cozad was a retired farmer, having operated his farm two miles west of Claysville on Route 40 until moving to the Meadows several years ago.

On August 14, 1902, he was united in marriage with Anna Wotring, who survives.

In addition to his wife he leaves a son and two daughters: Dr. William H. Cozad, of Morgantwon, W. Va; Miss Florence Cozad, of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Mrs Charles McKie, of Springfield, Oh., and two grandchildren.
