The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, January 15, 2006 Mitchel Adam Dubow, 83, of Prescott, born March 24, 1922, in Portsmouth, Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, in Scottsdale, Ariz. Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. ----------------------------------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, January 18, 2006 Mitchell Adam Dubow died Jan. 11, 2006, at Scottsdale Hospital, Scottsdale, Ariz. He was born March 24, 1922, in Portsmouth, Va., the son of Morris and Dora (Sykes) Dubow. Mitchell was 83 years old. Mitchell proudly served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theatre. He moved to Prescott 16 years ago, upon his retirement as a judge from the District Court of Minnesota. Mitchell was very active in the community, especially the Friends of the Prescott Public Library, serving as President and a Board Member. He enjoyed listening to classical music, playing bridge and discussing politics. Mitchell was a devoted husband and father, an unselfish and dedicated man whose living example of love, kindness and devotion was an inspiration to his family and friends. He married Barbara Cohen on May 8, 1947, and their marriage and family were the center of his life. Mitchell is survived by his daughters, Nancy Dubow of Prescott and Ondine Webb De Mer (Evan Saunders) of Seattle, Wash.; son Robert (Jacqueline) Dubow of Arlington, Va.; grandchildren Paul and Clara; and nieces Andee and Donna. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, in June of 2005, daughter, Debra Dubow, and brother, Bemie Dubow. Private family services with cremation at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley. The family suggests memorials in Mitchell's name to The Mends of the Prescott Public Library, 215 E. Goodwin, Prescott, Arizona, 86303.
