The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, November 21, 2012 George A. Look, 77, passed away in his home Nov. 9, with his family at his side. George was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Detroit, Mich. After serving in the U.S. Army, he was a police officer for Detroit Police Department. While visiting his parents in Florida in 1962, he met the love of his life, Marion. They married the following year and relocated to Phoenix. George worked for Zellerback Paper Co. for 27 years and then retired from Victory Packing Co. After retirement in 2006, he and Marion moved to Wickenburg. Marion passed away in 2008, and George moved back to the Valley. However, he continued to return to Wickenburg each Tuesday for his weekly poker game at the Elks, which was usually preceded with a stop at the El Ranchero or Anita’s for his tamale/burrito fix. George is survived by his loving children: Lynda (Larry) Leininger, Doug (Lois), and Scott (Wendy), grandchildren Todd Guess, Nikki, Dani, Taylor and Austin, great-grandchildren McKenna and Brandon Guess. George is also survived by his sister Darlene (Bob) Folken of Estes Park, CO. A memorial service was held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Peach Lutheran Church, Peoria, AZ. See Also: Marion (Wife) |
