Lois C. Grosscup, 87, of Prescott, Ariz., born Nov. 26, 1918, in Chicago, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at her residence in Prescott.

A memorial service will take place on May 29, 2006, at the Chirch of Spiritual Living, 3755 Willow Creek Road, Prescott.

Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Lois (Camit) Grosscup was born November 26, 1918, in Chicago Ill., to John Wilsney and Florence Grant Camit.

The Graduated from Calumet High School with perfect grades and attended Cornell College, Mt, Vernon Iowa, for two years.

While working in the office of William Wrigley Jr., she met and later married Robert K. Grosscup on June 14, 1941. They have two children, Sandra Gail and Richard Knight.

The young family moved to Villa Park, Ill., in 1954 and to Prescott in 1979.

She worked in the Villa Park Library and was a homemaker. She loved to read and travel and enjoyed her three grandchildren. Her pen was the glue that held our extended family together. She lived for her family, her pets, and her books. She treasured the American South West, things Native American, and the community of Prescott.

She was a member of the Church of Spiritual Living. She transitioned at home in her beloved husband's arms February 17, 2006. At her request, her ashes will be scattered on Granite Mountain, that smiled down on her every day.

She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.

In lieu of donations the family asks that you read a book, preferably to a child, treasure your pets and love your family, each and every one, far and near.

A memorial celebration will be held 10 a.m., May 29, 2006 (Memorial Day), at the Church of Spiritual Living, 3755 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz.
