| Winterset Madisonian Winterset, Iowa May 22, 2002 Marjorie Martin, Arizona Marjorie Martin, 77, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of Clear Lake, died May 7, 2002, in the hospice unit of the Tucson Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at the First Congregational Church in Clear Lake. Burial of the cremains will be at Winterset Cemetery. Marge Martin was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Winterset to Ralph and Ellen Mills. She graduated from Christian College in Columbia Mo., and the University of Arizona with a degree in social work. In 1947, she married Dyle Martin. For several years Marge was employed as a social worker at the Hull House in Chicago, Ill., and later for Head Start in Mason City (where she also was principal of Head Start). She also was a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and a sister. She is survived by a son, Mark Martin (wife Lynn) of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Mary Ellen Martin of Wausau, Wis.; and a grandson. |
