John A. Brackman, 83, of Prescott, Ariz., formerly of Normal, Ill., died Wednesday (Feb. 14, 1996) at his home.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Memorial Gardens, Dewey, Ariz.

Memorial Chapel Mortuary, Prescott, has charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Prescott.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary Brackman; one son, John E. Brackman, Prescott; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one daughter-in-law, Beverly Brackman, Prescott.

His parents and one sister preceded him in death.

He was born Sept. 11, 1912, in Gridley, a son of Adolph and Agnes Clark Brackman.

Prior to moving to Arizona, he resided in Normal, where he owned and operated Brackman's Automotive. He lived in Arizona for 13 years.

Mr. Brackman was a member of First Mennonite Church, Normal, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Illinois Normal Lodge No. 673, Felicity Chapter No. 387, and Order of the Eastern Star, Normal.
