Born in Jesup, Iowa on Aug. 14, 1945.
Departed on June 2, 2008 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz.

Ruth Ann Henke, known and loved as Ann, resident of Cottonwood, Ariz., passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the age of 62. Ann was the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Lappe; born in Jesup, Iowa on August 14, 1945.

Ann was a loving and devoted wife and mother; who was proud to work within her own home. She also enjoyed the time she spent working at Friendly Bob's and Kaiser's West Restaurants in Sedona, where she met many wonderful people and made multiple lasting friendships. Her inner strength and external example of such followed her throughout her life and especially through her fight against cancer and related illnesses. Her sweet spirit and zest for life was an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by many.

Ann leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Daniel Henke of Cottonwood; her son, Jason Henke, wife, Mindy of Phoenix; her daughter, Christine Henke of Philadelphia, Penn.; her grandson, Daniel Henke of Phoenix; four brothers, Robert Lappe, wife, Mel of Reno, Nevada, Ron Lappe, wife, Tracy of Phoenix, Donald Lappe, wife, Pam of Nevada, and Joseph Lappe of Sedona; and her four sisters, Donna Miller husband, Ray of Sedona, Ariz., Mary Finn of Sedona, Patricia Hamilton, husband, Milt of Salome, Ariz., and Vicki Stoll of Cottonwood, Ariz.

A Memorial Service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 10:00am.
