William (Bill) McLaws, 81, of Prescott, born July 5, 1925, in Gallup, N.M., died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, in Prescott, Ariz.

Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematorium in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

William B. McLaws died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, in Prescott Ariz. He was the son of Walter and Anna (Branham) McLaws. William was born July 5, 1924, in Gallup, N.M., and moved with his parents to Arizona.

Following his service in the United Army he returned to Phoenix, where he became a tool and dye maker and was employed by Motorola in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Bill had been an active member of Montezuma Masonic Lodge #35, where he was a Past Master. When Bill moved to Prescott in 1985 he affiliated with Aztlan Masonic Lodge #1, where he served as Master. Bill was also a member of Norfolk Scottish Rite, Royal Order of Scotland, and El Zaribah Shrine. One of the important things was when he became a 33rd degree Mason.

Bill is survived by Martha, his loving and caring wife of 55 years; son and his wife, Gary and Ann McLaws of Glendale, Ariz.; daughter and her husband, Virginia and Alien Foster of Chino Valley, Ariz.; brother and his wife, Walter and Edith McLaws; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services and burial have taken place per Bill's wishes.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funera Home assisted the family with arrangements.
