The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 15, 2006 Annette (Ann) Ferry Hansen died Feb. 4, 2006, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott, Arizona. A Wisconsin native, Mrs. Hansen resided in Eau Claire, Madison and Lake Mills, Wis., before moving to Tucson, and then moved to The Peridot in Prescott. Mrs. Hansen was proud of being a 60-year member of P.E.O., active in Wisconsin Women's Club, many civic organizations and a member of The United Church of Christ. She enjoyed bridge, traveling, gardening, reading and people. In 1936, Mrs. Hansen attended the Olympics in Berlin, Germany, and watched Jesse Owens compete. She received graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Eau Claire, and Columbia University, New York City. Her husband, Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Connor T. Hansen and her son, Peter Christian Hansen, preceded her in death. Three children, Annette Olson of Dewey, Ariz., Jane LaRonge of Aztec, N.M., and Rev. Dr. David Hansen of Wichita, Kan., their spouses; her brother, William Ferry and his wife of Pewaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, and 13 and one half great-grandchildren survive her. Three of the great-grandchildren live in Turkey and one half live in France. The others live in the United States. The family requests that the memorials be given to Cottey College for Women, The Fargo Library in Lake Mills, Wis., or the Hansen Campership Fund of the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference of The United Church of Christ where Rev. Hansen is Conference Minister. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Lake Mills, Wisc. on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. Rev.
